As BOLD is becoming increasingly successful, we started to look into
the qualities that our employees possess that helped make this happen.
Our recent growth and expansion has inspired us to share this knowledge!
So here they are. TEN tips to help any employee, employer, or person seeking employment be successful in their field!
1. Maintain a positive attitude!
Think Success, not Failure. Beware of a negative environment.
This trait has to be one of the most important in the entire list.
Your belief that you can accomplish your goals has to be unwavering. The
moment you say to yourself “I can’t…”, then you won’t. I was always
given the advice “never say I can’t” and I’d like to strike those words
from the dictionary.
It’s okay to visit pity city, but you can’t stay, and there comes a
time when you need to leave. Positive things happen to positive people.
2. Set achievable goals!
Write down your specific goals and develop a plan to reach them.
Write down my dreams and goals? Develop a plan to reach them? You
mean like a project plan? Yes, that’s exactly what this means. You may
have heard the old adage: A New Years resolution that isn’t written down
is just a dream, and dreams are not goals.
Goals are those concrete, measurable stepping stones of achievement
that track your progress towards your dreams. Make sure these goals are
achievable, though. Only astronauts will fly to the moon.
3. ACT!
Goals are nothing without action.
Be like Nike and “Just do it”. Have you taken action towards your goals?
4. Never Stop Learning!
Go back to school or read books. Get training & acquire skills.
Becoming a life-long learner would benefit us all and is something we
should instill in our kids. It’s funny that once you’re out of school
you realize how enjoyable learning can be. What have you learned today?
5. Be Persistent!
Success is a marathon, not a sprint. Never give up.
I think every story of success I read entails long hard hours of
work. There is no getting around this and there is no free lunch. But,
if you’re working towards something that you’re passionate about,
something you love – then is it really work?
6. Learn to Analyze Details!
Get all the facts. Learn from your mistakes.
You have to strike a balance between getting all the facts and making
a decision with incomplete data – both are traits of successful people.
Spend time gathering details, but don’t catch ‘analysis paralysis’.
7. Focus Your Time And Money!
Don’t let other people or things distract you.
Remain focused on your goals and surround yourself with positive
people that believe in you. Don’t be distracted by the naysayer’s or
tasks that are not helping you achieve your goals. This all goes back to
maintaining a positive attitude.
8. Don’t Be Afraid To Innovate!
Be different.
Following the herd is a sure way to mediocrity. You’ll never be
successful by being mediocre. Follow through on that break-out idea you
have. Ask yourself “What would I do if I wasn’t afraid?”
9. Communicate With People Effectively!
Learn to understand and motivate others.
Successful people develop and nurture a network and they only do that
by treating people openly, fairly and many times firmly. There is
nothing wrong about being firm – just don’t cross the line. How do you
deal with people?
10. Be Honest And Dependable!
Take responsibility, otherwise numbers 1 – 9 won’t matter.
Enough said.

Fun in the Sun: A Little Rest and Relaxation in Miami
Every year, all managers across the nation are rewarded for
their hard work with a tropical vacation. This year the managers headed down to
the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida.
Ashley D. Smith, President of Bold Marketing Strategies,
traveled to Miami Beach, Florida last week to enjoy some fun in the sun, as
well as networking with other managers, assistant managers and administrators.
There were many different activities available to everyone including pool
parties, jet skis, cornhole tournaments and a dodgeball tournament.
"The talent show was definitely the highlight of my
trip," said Ashley. The company put together a talent show to help raise
funds for Operation Smile. The acts included stand-up comedians, impersonations
of Psy’s “Gangnam Style,” a pianist, and musicians of all kinds. The winner was
an opera sing who blew everyone away with her beautiful voice.
Bold Marketing Strategies has the motto of, “Work hard, play
hard.” That being said, everyone had a great chance to enjoy themselves but
they were also able to do a lot of networking with other managers from across
the nation. Ashley said the biggest thing she took away from the trip was,
“Opportunity isn’t giving more, but it’s about getting better. People will do
whatever to survive, but few will push themselves to get better and become more
successful.”

THE BUZZ ABOUT BOLD
According to employees at Bold Marketing Strategies, they
seem to share a common goal; Growth! I analyzed the team to understand how Bold
Marketing provides them the opportunity to reach their goals. The core
of the marketing world is made up of people just like those working at Bold
Marketing Strategies. Their common goals are to become part of the growth involved in business and their organizations.
For any company, advertisement is essential and Bold Marketing not
only specializes in it, but their goal as well as their client’s is to grow.
In turn, this offers the team the opportunity for entrepreneurial development and
ongoing advancement.
The
team at Bold Marketing Strategies is made up of driven individuals
looking for a place that always opens doors to more enticing
positions. Not only that, but team members at Bold Marketing Strategies,
always
have a reason to be excited. Whether it’s incentives like the chance to
win a
competition for a trip to a Sunday Night Football Game, a chance to earn
a spot in leadership or the management team,
just being high in rankings, or annual R&R vacations, they all look
forward to the
opportunity.
Needless to say, the team at Bold Marketing is made up of those
who are competitive, look forward to being in an admirable position or they
simply like the incentives. Their goal is to take advantage of the opportunity they are given to
earn, win and succeed! Not many occupations or businesses offer these types of
opportunities, which is why Bold Marketing is made up of a special team of
aspiring colleagues.

On July 28th we attended the annual national conference
held in Atlanta, Georgia. Managers and selected leaders from around the nation gathered
to absorb knowledge and inspiration, network with others and kick back to have a
good time. National Wrestling Champion Anthony Robles, was the key note speaker
this year. Anthony shared with us his challenges of being born with only one
leg and pursuing his dream of becoming an accomplished wrestler. He explained
how he overcame the challenges he faced, without being discouraged even though
others doubted him. Anthony moved us
with his astonishing biography. His story was enlightening and inspirational.
The conference was followed by a cocktail reception and award
ceremony. A few of the awards given during the ceremony included Rookie Owner
of the Year, who received an extreme office makeover by Michael Murphy and The
Promoting Owner of the Year, who received an all inclusive trip for four to
Belize. Each Manager also had a chance to announce the Top Leaders they
selected. Congrats to everyone who received awards!
During the ceremony the organization made a goal to raise
$200,000 to support the Operation Smile Mission. At the reception efforts were
made to pledge towards the cause and together the pledges not only exceeded the
goal, but raised more than $400,000! We are proud to support a great cause to
make a positive impact on others lives. The weekend turned out to be very
motivating and fun for all of us. We are already looking forward to next year!

The goal is to reduce the rate of recidivism among Indiana youth. Participating in the project is President of Bold Marketing Strategies, Ashley Smith, HR Manager, Carlina Mina, and select top leaders, which mentor in a series of life-skills and job readiness classes. We are eager to help our community and become a part of the organization!
